Willie Daniels:
There just isn't a lot of information at this time about W. Daniels ... however, I will be doing more research to get more information.
According to "Highwaymen Lore", in the early days there were a lot of the paintings that were left unsigned
at the "request" of Al Hair (the "salesman" of the group). The reasoning behind this was so that if he had a customer that had bought a painting by another artist, then he could sign that artists name and make the customer happy. Other times he signed his own name. These signatures were generally done with a ball point pen. If the signature is painted or scratched in with a pallet knife then chances are it is that particular artists signature.
I will be adding images of signature shortly - Webmaster
